Nevada Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign, and Representatives Shelley Berkley, Dean Heller and Dina Titus today held their first delegation meeting of the year, and the first since the 2008 election. The discussion was focused on two issues: the next steps to end plans to store the nation’s nuclear waste at Yucca Mountain; and the best ways to confront the economic challenges facing our state.

“At a time when Nevada families are struggling to keep their jobs and stay in their homes, they count on us, their elected representatives to provide the help they need,” Reid said. “Fortunately, the Nevada delegation has a long, successful history of working together to find solutions and that’s what we’re focused on doing.” To read more on Senator Reid’s work for Nevada please visit the Issues page on his website by clicking here.
