DELTA CENTER RECEIVES HUD GRANT

Washington -U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Delta Center, Inc., located in Cairo, has been awarded a $977,500 Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities program grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The funds will provide capital advance financing and project rental assistance to enable persons with disabilities to live as independently as possible.

"This funding will improve the quality of life of our most vulnerable citizens," said Costello. "I strongly support HUD funds, which assist local efforts to enhance public housing."
