COSTELLO ANNOUNCES USDA AWARD FOR VILLAGE OF THEBES

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Village of Thebes has received a $121,450 Water and Waste Disposal grant and a $50,000 loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to complete construction of a larger water storage tank and larger water mains to increase the capacity of the village's water system.

"An adequate water supply is essential to economic development and enhanced quality of life," said Costello. "I will continue to work to ensure that these resources are available to our communities."
