COSTELLO TO KEEP CARBONDALE OFFICE, OPEN A NEW OFFICE IN WEST FRANKFORT AND EXPAND OFFICE HOURS IN CHESTER
Belleville, Illinois -- U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello announced today that he will keep his office in the Federal Building in Carbondale, open a new district office in West Frankfort at the same location in City Hall as Congressman David Phelps' former office and expand the hours of his office in Chester.
Costello said that keeping his Carbondale office open, opening a new office in West Frankfort and expanding his office hours in Chester will help him provide services to the people of southern Illinois.
"I have had the privilege of representing the people of southern Illinois in the United States Congress for the past ten years. I look forward to continuing to represent the people of southern Illinois including the counties of Franklin, Williamson and Pulaski that were added to the new 12th congressional district as a result of redistricting," Costello stated.
Costello made the decision to open an office in West Frankfort because the people of the area have had a congressional office in West Frankfort for almost 50 years.
Costello noted that Congressmen Ken Gray, Paul Simon, Glenn Poshard and David Phelps, all maintained a district office in West Frankfort.
Costello said that in addition to his district offices that he and his staff would periodically hold office hours in various locations throughout the district.
The office in the City Hall in West Frankfort will open effective January 7, the day that members of Congress are sworn in for the 108th Congress.
