SOUTHERN SEVEN HEALTH DEPARTMENT RECEIVES HEAD START GRANT

Washington - U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Southern Seven Health Department, located in Ullin, has been awarded a $4,104,794 Head Start grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The money will be used for the full year, part day training and technical assistance program.

"Head Start is one of our most valuable programs for young children," Costello said. "This funding will continue an outstanding initiative to benefit children, to give them the opportunity to learn and succeed."
