Washington- U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the St. Clair Special Emergency Services Association has received a $48,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to purchase a truck and equipment to respond to chemical spills and specialized technical rescue activities.
"These are critical resources for our first responders, who need modern equipment," Costello said. "Every effort must be made to enhance the safety of our communities, and I will continue to support these activities at the federal level."
