U.S. CONGRESSMAN JERRY COSTELLO PRESENTS
USDA INTERMEDIARY RELENDING PROGRAM CHECK TO FREDCO

Benton, IL - On Saturday, June 17, 2006 U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) presented a USDA Intermediary Re-lending Program (IRP) Loan check to officials with the Franklin County Economic Development Organization (FREDCO) at a ceremony held at the County Seat Antique Mall located at 303 Public Square in Benton, Illinois.  

Costello presented FREDCO and local officials with a mock check in the amount of $750,000. FREDCO will use these loaned federal funds to "re-loan" money to start-up businesses in the Franklin County area at a low interest rate.

FREDCO is an economic development organization set up to assist businesses and individuals to help create jobs and economic development opportunity for Franklin County .
