May 2, 2008 Washington, D.C. – Nevada Senator Harry Reid today met with 20 Advanced Placement U.S. Government students from Reed High School in Sparks, the largest public high school in the Washoe County School District. These students are the Nevada state champions of the “We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution” program. “We the People” is an instructional program meant to promote civic competence and responsibility among elementary and secondary students. Beginning Saturday, they will represent Nevada in a three day competition on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in Washington, D.C.
