Sutton Hails Tentative Agreement to Revitalize Downtown Akron and Create Jobs
Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Sutton released the following statement today regarding the proposal to build a new headquarters for Goodyear in Akron and create a commercial and industrial complex.
"The tentative agreement reached between Goodyear, the State of Ohio, the City of Akron, Summit County and Industrial Realty Group is a victory for all involved, and especially for the people of Northeast Ohio. Coupling a new Goodyear facility with an ambitious, mixed-use development project will help revitalize downtown Akron and improve the quality of life in the region. It is crucial that we do all we can to help keep and create jobs that are so important to our families and our communities. I am committed to doing all that I can to assist our local leaders in securing final approval of this important agreement."
