Congressional Tour reservations are available at the following attractions:

Capitol Tours

Trained members of my staff conduct Capitol tours Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. These tours provide an overview of important historical, artistic, and architectural features of the Capitol building. Hightlights of the tour include visits to the Old Supreme Court Chamber, the Capitol Rotunda, and the National Statuary Hall. If the Senate is in session on the day of your tours and you wish to view the Senate debates, you may request that your tour guide escort you to the Senate gallery at the conclusion of your tour.

White House Tours
(must make a request a minimum of 6 weeks in advance)

White House tours may only be obtained by a Congressional office and are among the most frequently requested tours in Washington. They tend to fill up quickly and I encourage you to make your request as far in advance of the dates of your visit as possible; especially for the months of March through September.

The White House only honors requests for tours from individuals in parties of 10 or more. If there are fewer then 10 people in your party, my office will attempt to meet this requirement by cmbining your party with other individuals or groups. This sometimes means that my office must collaborate with other congressional offices in order to meet the 10 person limit.

Please be aware that if your party's request for a White House tour is granted, each individual in your party will be required to submit security clearance information to my office, which will be forwarded to the White House for approval prior ot your visit. The White House requires all visitors to submit their full name, date of birth, U.S. citizenship status, and Social Security number or passport number. Visitors failing to provide this information will not be permitted to enter the White House.

If my office is unable to fulfill the 10 person requirement in order to sumit your White House tour request, I would encourage you to consider visiting the Whtie Hosue Visiotrs Center, which is located at the corner of 15th and E Streets NW. The White House Visitors Center is open daily from 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and offers guests an opportunity to view exhibits covering the art and architecture of the White House, its furnishings, first families, social events, and its role in relations with international leaders.

Bureau of Engraving and Printing
(must make request a minimum of 6 weeks in advance)

As the U.S. Government's security printer, the BEP is responsible for the design, engraving and printing of all U.S. paper currency. A world leader in printing technology, the Bureau also produces portions of U.S. passports, materials for Homeland Security, military identification cards, Immigration and Naturalization Certificates, White House invitations, Treasury obligations and other U.S. securities.

Supreme Court
(must make a request a minimum of 2 weeks in advance)

The Supreme Court offers a variety of educational programs. Exhibits, which are changed periodically, and a theater, where a film on the Supreme Court is shown, are located on the ground floor. Lectures in the Courtroom are typically given every hour on the half-hour, on days that the Court is not sitting, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and concluding at 3:30 p.m.

Library of Congress
(must make a request a minimum of 2 weeks in advance)

The Library of Congress offers docent-led tours of the historic Thomas Jefferson Building. During your tour you will learn about the Building's symbolic art and architecture and view the grandeur of the Main Reading Room. Professionally trained docents tell the story of the Library-America's oldest cultural institution-by talking about its history, its collections (including the Gutenberg Bible), and the services provided to Congress and the nation.
