(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester today announced that Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell will receive $4.5 million to help rebuild its runway.

“This is great news for the Flathead Valley and for all of Montana,” Baucus said.  “It means more good-paying jobs in our state, which will pave the way to a stronger economy.”

“This is a smart investment in Montana because it’s an investment in long-term infrastructure that supports jobs, families and businesses,” Tester said.  “This funding will put people to work now and will generate economic opportunity for the Flathead for years to come.”

The $4.5 million grant will go to the Flathead Municipal Airport Authority from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
