InternshipsCongresswoman Miller is pleased to offer internship opportunities at both her Washington, D.C. and Shelby Township offices year round. Internships are unpaid positions that provide excellent opportunities to gain valuable experience in a congressional office and a unique perspective on how the U.S. government works.
An intern's responsibilities may include attending legislative hearings and writing briefs, conducting legislative research, drafting correspondence, assisting with constituent services (casework), administrative duties (answering phones, faxing, filing, copying, data entry, etc.) and attending meetings or events. Strong computer and writing skills are necessary.
If interested in applying for an internship, please complete an application packet. The packet includes an application form, cover letter, resume, two letters of recommendation and a brief writing sample. Please submit the packet to the location where the internship is desire to be fulfilled.
