Services: Visiting DCMy office is happy to assist you in planning your trip to Washington D.C. If you are a Nebraska resident, we will make every effort to arrange Congressional tours of sites in our nation's capital. However, tickets are limited and distribution is at the discretion of each monument or attraction. If you are interested in setting up tours, submit your requests by mailing or faxing this form to our office. Have a great trip! Metrorail Nebraska Breakfast Monuments and Memorials Smithsonian Institute ToursDuring your visit to our nation’s capital make sure you take advantage of the many tours available to you free of charge. U.S Capitol Building Tours: A member of my staff conducts an hour Capitol tours at 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Each tour begins in my office, 720 Hart Senate Office Building. Advance reservations are required. Gallery passes to watch the House and the Senate in session can also be obtained in my office. In addition, the Capitol Guide Service also conducts tours Monday through Saturday. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis before 8a.m. on the day of the tour. Capitol tours must be requested a minimum of three weeks in advance. White House Tours: The White House is open to public tours 7:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday; however, requests need to be made four to six months in advance. Please have every member of your party's middle initial, date of birth, and social security number available when you schedule the tour. Additionally, the White House does not grant tours to all requests. The National Archives Tours: The National Archives offers a 90-minute Congressional tour Monday through Friday at 9:45 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. Reservations are required and should be made 3 months in advance. Supreme Court Tours: Tours for six or fewer at a time are available at 1:45 p.m. on days when the court is not in session. Again, it is wise to plan your tour to the Supreme Court 3 months in advance. Library of Congress Tours: Library of Congress is open Monday-Friday at 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.; reservations are required a month in advance. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts Tours: Kennedy Center has tours available Monday-Friday at 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Bureau of Engraving and Printing: Reservations must be made at least three months in advance and not all requests are accepted. Groups are limited to ten people and tours are held Monday-Friday at 8:15 and 8:45 a.m. and 4:15, 4:30, and 4:45, May-August.
