Casey Applauds Passage of Fair Pay Bill

WASHINGTON, DC- Following Senate passage of the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) issued the following statement:
“Today’s vote on the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act is a victory for equal pay for equal work. It will give employees a useful tool to fight wage discrimination based on race, gender, age, national origin, religion or disability. I hope that passage of this bill is the first of many victories for workers in the new Congress and in the Obama Administration.”
The bill that passed the Senate must be reconciled with the House-passed version before it can be sent to the President.
