Washington, DC –Congressman Neugebauer, who represents the 19th Congressional District, announced his new role on the Republican Whip team, as well as his committee assignments for the 111th Congress.

“I am honored to serve beside House Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) and Chief Deputy Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in the House Republican Whip operation. I look forward to working with the House Republican Leadership to advance innovative policy alternatives and communicate our ideas to Americans. Our country is facing difficult times, and I remain committed to advancing legislation that that will empower the American people, especially the constituents of the 19th Congressional District.”

On the Whip Team, Neugebauer will work with House Republican Leadership to develop and move legislation through the U.S. House of Representatives.

“Congressman Neugebauer is a talented Representative with 21st Century new ideas to solve America’s growing problems,” said Congressman McCarthy. “We are proud that he joined the Republican Whip Team to help put forward a vision to strengthen our country, fight for common-sense solutions to unite America, and create new ideas for middle-class American families.”

In addition to his Assistant Whip position, Congressman Neugebauer also announced his committee assignments for the 111th Congress. Congressman Neugebauer will retain his seat as Deputy Ranking Member of the Financial Services Committee, which has jurisdiction over all components of the nation’s housing and financial services sectors. As a member of the House Agriculture Committee, he will serve as the Ranking Republican on its Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry Subcommittee.  Neugebauer will also continue to serve on the House Science and Technology Committee.

“At the same time, I will continue to make agriculture a priority during the 111th Congress. I take the responsibility of being the voice for all of the agricultural producers in the 19th District very seriously.  I am looking forward to being a leader on the Livestock Subcommittee because our farmers and ranchers are responsible for providing America’s people and people abroad with food, fiber and energy they need to survive.”
