WASHINGTON- Senator Chuck Grassley today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development has awarded a guaranteed loan of $68,000 to Southwest Iowa Families in Clarinda through the Community Facility Guaranteed Loan Program.

“This funding will help Southwest Iowa Families continue to enhance the well-being of children and families in the area,” Grassley said.

The Community Facilities Guaranteed Loan Program provides government-backed credit enhancement to private lenders seeking to finance community-based public facilities.

            Southwest Iowa Families will use the funds to help purchase and renovate the facility they currently lease. The organization provides social, mental health and educational services to children and families in southwest Iowa.
