Boise State University (BSU) Fast Facts

Boise State University campusBoise Junior College was founded by the Episcopal Church in 1932. In 1969, it was moved to state system of higher education and renamed Boise State College. In 1974, BSC took on its current name, Boise State University. Boise State University is Idaho’s metropolitan university. It is located in the hub of government, business, the arts, health care, industry and technology.

BSU is home to the Broncos, the 2007 Fiesta Bowl champions. The BSU football program has been gaining national recognition in recent years and capped its 2006-2007 season with a win over Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl on January 1, 2007.
