Program Description

The purpose of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities Program is to provide financial assistance to establish or strengthen the academic resources, management capabilities, and physical plants of historically Black colleges and universities.

Types of Projects

Two-year projects that establish or strengthen programs at legally designated historically Black colleges and universities that are designed to increase the institution's capacity to strengthen their academic resources, management capabilities and physical plants.

NOTE: Endowment investment is not an allowable activity under the two-year College Cost Reduction And Access Act (CCRAA) appropriations.
