Upcoming EIV System and Security Awareness training opportunity

Where: HUD Headquarters, 451 7th Street, SW, 1st Floor, Brooke-Mondale Auditorium, Suite C, Washington, DC 20410

Time: 1PM – 5PM, Eastern Standard Time – each day

Number of Available Seats: 250

Reserve your seat now by completing and submitting the Registration Form, no later than 4pm, EST on Friday February 6, 2009. You do not need to register for this training event if you plan to view it via webcast.

The training will also be available via webcast. View the Training Agenda. You may request a Certificate of Completion beginning Friday, February 13, 2009. The request form will be posted on this website on February 12, 2009.

October 24, 2008

On October 16, 2008, the Social Security Administration (SSA) announced 5.8 percent benefit increase for 2009. The 5.8 percent Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) will begin with benefits that Social Security (SS) beneficiaries receive in January 2009. Increased payments to Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries will begin on December 31, 2008. PHAs should include this planned increase in income during the processing of annual or interim reexams that will be effective January 1, 2009 or later. View the 2009 Social Security Fact Sheet.
