FY-2005 Conservation Program Allocations to States

Updated 2/11/2004

This map shows the amounts distributed to Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) State offices for operating Farm Bill conservation programs in fiscal year 2005. The amounts include technical and financial assistance for the following programs: Conservation Security Program, Grassland Reserve Program, Farm and Ranch Lands Protection Program, Environmental Quality Incentives Program (including Ground and Surface Water Conservation and Klamath Basin), Wetlands Reserve Program, and Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program.

The programs were reauthorized in the Farm Security and Rural Investment Act of 2002 (Farm Bill). Through these programs, NRCS helps farmers, ranchers, and other landowners plan and implement conservation measures to solve natural resource concerns on their operations, maintain and improve agricultural land, and protect the environment.
