The Office of Civilian Radioactive Waste is part of the
United States Department of Energy. As a key player in
ensuring our country's national defense as well as the
world's leader in science and energy research, the Department

There are several contractor companies that provide a
variety of scientific, engineering, technical, professional,
and administrative support services to the Office of Civilian
Radioactive Waste Management. They include the following:
USA Repository Services, LLC, has been selected as the follow-on Management & Operating contractor for the Yucca Mountain Project, effective April 1, 2009.
Bechtel SAIC Company, LLC, is the prime contractor to
the Department of Energy on the Yucca Mountain Project.
Booz
Allen Hamilton is the support services contractor to DOE
on the Yucca Mountain Project.
Sandia
National Laboratories is the lead laboratory
for integrating repository science work for the Yucca
Mountain Project. Sandia has established workforce
contracts with a variety of contract employers.
The federal government also offers
student
internships to college students looking for valuable
work experience.
