Title
Inhibition of Biofilm Formation
What Is the Primary Research Question You Are Proposing with this Proposal?
Bacterial biofilm formation is the root cause of biofouling and blockages of wells and dam drains. Biofilm formation is a result of cell-to-cell quorum sensing communication. Can quorum sensing inhibitors be used to prevent or reduce biofilm formation, thereby extending the life of wells and dam drains?
