The Biocontaminant Laboratory (BIOLAB) is a new state-of-the-art Biohazard Safety Level 3 microbiology research laboratory equipped to support research to evaluate and analyze biological contaminants. The facility has two Class 10,000 clean rooms with highly specialized, top-of-the line analytical instrumentation including a Steris / AMSCO Century SV 120 Pre-vacuum sterilizer; an ABI 3100 Genetic Analyzer; a BioRad i Cycler; a BioRad Gel-Doc 2000 System; a QCount colony counter; and a BIOLOG Identification System.
