Job Opportunities

A montage photo graphic showing people performing a variety of jobs.MMS is dedicated to informing the public about employment opportunities across the country. USA Jobs is the website where all federal jobs are advertised, and is the channel through which you may find MMS jobs and submit your resume and application. Both current federal employees and outside candidates should use the USA Jobs system to apply for positions with any of the MMS programs. By using USA Jobs, you may fine-tune your job search by occupation, pay, or location, and you may also set your account to automatically notify you when positions of interest to you are open. A simple registration process allows you to create, edit, and archive your resume and other supporting documents, and then when you find a job that you like, just follow the links within the vacancy announcement to complete the online application. Your USA Jobs account will have a convenient feature that allows you to view the jobs to which you have applied and will show you whether your resume and documentation is received. Please visit USA Jobs to learn more about specific vacancies with MMS and embark on your new career path.

The Offshore Energy and Mineral's Management program has a very informative and detailed page as does the Gulf of Mexico Region.  The Pacific Region lists internship opportunities. To find job listings in our Alaska Region, go to USAJOBS. Click on the "Search Jobs" tab, then type in "Minerals Management Service" in the keyword search and select "AK" for Alaska from the location listing.

The Department of the Interior is an Equal Opportunity employer.  Selection for positions will be made solely on the basis of merit, fitness, and qualifications. Minorities, females, and individuals with non-disqualifying handicapped conditions are encouraged to apply.
