Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program FY-2007 Unfunded Application Information

Updated 03/27/2008

The following two maps display information on the Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP) applications for fiscal year 2007 that were not funded.

The program encourages creation of high quality wildlife habitats that support wildlife populations of National, State, Tribal, and local significance. The funding provides technical and financial assistance to landowners and others to develop upland, wetland, riparian, and aquatic habitat areas on their property. In FY-2007, NRCS obligated more than $31.5 million to enroll more than 2,100 contracts covering more than 350,000 acres into the program. More than 3,200 applications were not funded in FY-2007, totaling more than $55.7 million. Click on each map's Data link for detail information.
