Objective

    The objective of Environmental Health Services (EHS) is to strengthen the role of state, local, and national environmental health programs and professionals to better anticipate, identify, and respond to adverse environmental exposures and the consequences of these exposures to human health.

    The services being developed through the Environmental Health Services Branch include access to topical, relevant, scientific information, consultation, and assistance to environmental health specialists, sanitarians, environmental health professionals and practitioners.

    Environmental Health Services is committed to developing and reinforcing an awareness of the important role environmental health and its workforce plays within public health. Environmental Health Services is also working to become a professional and information resource for environmental health professionals in all facets of the environmental health workforce.
