Are We Really Saving Resources with Current Hiring Practices at Local Health Departments? [PDF

Jan/Feb issue of the Journal of Environmental Health, guest columnists Jeffrey Neistadt and Tim Murphy discuss workforce shortages and
the decrease in graduates from accredited Environmental Health academic programs. This
has led many local health departments to hire entry-level employees who
might lack the critical EH competencies needed in today's EH workforce.
