Information Transfer Meeting

The Information Transfer Meeting (ITM) began in 1980 as an annual meeting to foster sharing results, methodologies, and idea related to environmental studies, inside and outside of MMS.  Scientists in these meetings present, discuss, and share their findings in support of the Offshore Minerals Management Program.  To date, during this meeting series, exciting discoveries have been presented, such as chemosynthetic communities, observations and sound of sperm whales in the Gulf, and the latest technological advances by the offshore oil and gas industry.

Meetings, now held every two years, are hosted by the Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf Region of the Minerals Management Service.

For information about the next ITM, see the Upcoming ITM page.

Information about the most recent ITM is available on the ITM 2007 page.

Proceedings from previous ITMs are available on the Proceedings page.
