thermometer

Outside in the cold? When you are exposed to cold temperatures and your body can't produce enough heat, you get hypothermia. Hypothermia - low body temperature - affects the brain and victims can't think clearly. Symptoms include shivering, exhaustion, confusion, memory loss, and drowsiness. If you notice signs of hypothermia, take the person's temperature. If it is below 95°, the situation is an emergency-get the victim into a warm area and out of any wet clothes. Get medical attention immediately.

Learn more about Hypothermia and how to stay healthy in winter weather.
