| About: |
Dr. Schwab is the University faculty responsible for agricultural
safety. Iowa State University's safety specialist mission
is to establish farm safety and health programs to reduce
the incidence of disabilities suffered by persons engaged
in agriculture which results from disease or injury. The
activities of the specialist are directed toward three
major objectives:1) Increasing farm safety awareness with
the intent of encouraging farms to adopt safe farming
practices.2) Reduce the number of farm-related injuries
and fatalities.3) Enhancing the efficiency of Iowa Cooperative
Extension to provide Farm Safety programs.
