Medicare Administrative Contractor Operations Training

Medicare Contracting Reform is bringing important changes to CMS and the fee-for-service (FFS) program. These changes are intended to improve Medicare administrative services to beneficiaries and health care providers and bring Medicare FFS contracting in line with most other Government contracting authority by using the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

The Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) Operations Training program outlines how contractor operations will change in a MAC environment. The training highlights differences in the MAC world vs. the current fiscal intermediary and carrier world. Upon completion of the training, participants will have an understanding of what Medicare Contracting Reform means and what the various roles will be in the performance and management of MAC contracts.
