Save the Date: The 27th Annual Conference of the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association will take place September 30 - October 3, 2009 at the Westin Washington, DC, City Center.

GLMA's Annual Conference is the world's largest scientific meeting focusing on lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) health. The Annual Conference offers continuing medical education (CME), continuing education units (CEUs), and the opportunity to network and socialize with LGBT healthcare professionals and allies.

  • GLMA Establishes the Committee for Fair Visitation at Jackson Memorial Hospital
    Our goal is to build a broad coalition of groups and individuals that will help us call on the hospital to revise their visitation policies and practices to allow for equal and nondiscriminatory treatment of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals.
  • GLMA Launches LGBT Health Digest
    On March 10, GLMA launched the LGBT Health Digest, a weekly electronic newsletter about LGBT issues in healthcare that will be distributed each Tuesday. The Digest will be a free service of GLMA, and will highlight issues, events, publications, and other newsworthy items pertinent to LGBT health.   • LGBT-Identified Physicians Needed for Survey
    GLMA is currently seeking LGBT-identified physicians who are willing to participate in a brief survey examining their experiences, practices, and attitudes related to the care of LGBT patients. The survey will also examine experiences of discrimination against themselves, their patients, and their colleagues.
