Level One - Very low level of development. These campgrounds are walk-in only with no motorized access and no restrooms.

Level Two - These campgrounds are usually accessible over primitive roads. The spacing of camp units is irregular, with some distance between campsites. Water and pit toilets may be provided.

Level Three - These campgrounds are accessible by better unpaved or by paved roads. Camp units are usually regularly spaced, paved and usually can accommodate recreational vehicles. Facilities such as water and toilets are usually provided. A fee is usually charged for use of these campgrounds.

Level Four - These campgrounds are accessed via paved roads and usually have paved roads and trails within the area. Camp units are regularly spaced, and can accommodate recreational vehicles. Large campsites for multi-family groups are usually available. Shower houses and playground equipment may be present, as well as some interpretive programs. A fee is charged for use of these campgrounds.

Level Five - Beyond the facilities outlined in Level 4, these campgrounds may offer electrified units, battery chargers for electric motors, fish cleaning stations, flush toilets, hot showers, interpretive programs and other developed facilities.
