Norasing Phimavong
Norsing Phimavong takes skydiving as a sport. Norasing grew up in a family where his father and uncle served in the Lao Royal Army and familiar with parachute. He says,"I am not afraid to jump, it's normal for me to do… just go up high and jump down. I never think that I am brave nor better than any one else, partly because I grew up in this environment and I saw it every day. I play all kinds of sport, but I do not take the sky diving as a main sport, until later in life."

Parachuting or skydiving is not an easy sport,

but every one can learn and become good at it. It requires a lot of practice in order for us to do it correctly. However, not every one can do this kind of sport. There are many different kind of licenses to suite every one, and for an additional info go to http://www.uspa.org

"It's not that difficult as you think. Every one can do it. Just make sure that you are physical fit, no high blood pressure nor diabetes. At first the trainer will lead you the way. Once you are in the sky they make sure that you can balance yourself prior to release you. Learn all the techniques and be able to read and understand all the signs and signal that instructors given. It's a serious matters because it involve with life here." Norasing explains.

Currently, Norasing's position is free fall videographer, it's a harder job, not only he can jump right, but rather taking video for divers diving down from sky. "Timing is very crucial, because I have only few minutes to take video. I have to record them once they start to dive and I have to come down on the ground before them so that I can document them how they do, every steps of the way. I highly recommend more Laotians to join in this sport so that there are more of us out there." He concluded
