Terrestrial Wildlife
Ecology Unit
The Terrestrial Wildlife Ecology Unit is part of the Watershed, Fish,
Wildlife, Air, and Rare Plants staff of the USDA Forest Service.
We work collaboratively with regional wildlife ecologists, with Ecosystem
Management Coordination, and with Research
Major focus areas:
Inventory and monitoring of species and habitats
Species and habitat modeling and information systems
Analysis and planning procedures for species and habitats
Training, education, and technology transfer
Special projects (e.g., major assessments, EISs, appeals)
