Weekly Gas Storage Comparison Report and Historical Data
to be Released at 4:00 PM Today

The Energy Information Administration (EIA) will release at 4:00 PM Eastern Time today a paper comparing the American Gas Association and EIA survey methods and estimates of natural gas in underground storage for the weeks between March 15 and April 26, 2002 at:

At the same time EIA also will release a file containing estimates of weekly stocks from 1994 through April 19, 2002 that will be used in the historical comparisons presented in the Weekly Gas Storage Report and a description of the methodology used to derive these estimates.  It will be available at 4:00 PM at:

http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/ngs/history.html

On May 9, 2002, EIA will begin a weekly release of estimates of natural gas in underground storage for the United States and three regions of the United States.  The estimates will be released regularly at 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays, except for certain weeks with Federal holidays and will be found at:
