ACCOMPLISHMENTS
  • Prototype tested for more than a year by NSF funded group who are studying efficacy of using VR to educate students in Physics.
  • VrToolTM final product available for licensing, with plans to extend it’s capabilities into the area of shared VR and virtual interactions.
  • VrToolTM has a motif user interface, a graphical point and click like, Macintosh Windows. Motif runs on Unix Workstation which allows users to easily build virtual world environments.

  • Potential for the product is excellent considering the expanding interest in VR to stimulate real worlds.

GOVERNMENT/SCIENCE APPLICATIONS
  • Provided NASA with rapid-prototyping tool kit for VR simulations including astronaut training and shared VR training for the Space station.
