I do not want to receive precorded messages from telemarketers. Such messages are an unwanted and more importantly an uninvited intrusion into my home which I cannot. Just because I have a phone line does not mean I should be bothered with calls I do not want. What is really the difference between a precorded telemarketer call and an obscene call. I can control neither, but thank goodness one of those types is clearly illegal right now. So it should be with precorded telemarketer calls. If you allow these calls the public will be hounded incessantly at all times of the day and the public's personal answering machines will fill up with needless and useless messages. Let me retain the power to control my phone line to the greatest extent possible.
