I do not want the FTC messing with the Do Not Call list by trying to water it down or limit it's functionality, and I oppose the efforts by the DMA to amend. If anything the FTC should be trying to engage more stringent measures to prevent unwanted solicitations from being made, such as calls for political fundraising or pre-recorded campaign messages. We are already barraged with these in a variety of media come election season, I don't need my phone clogged with them too. I also continue to receive solicitations on my mobile cell phone; I thought these were illegal and efforts need to be made to prevent calls from coming through.
