Dear Sir or Madam, Telemarketing in the United States has gotten so bad over the past several years that I do not even have a telephone anylonger. Last year, I had my phone turned back on in the hopes that it had gotten better. I was worng, Around the third day of it being on, I started recieving phone calls, most of them were automatated in nature, they failed to identify their originating company and merely stated "we have important information for you, please stay on the line for a customer represtative." I pay for a telephone so that I may stay in touch with the people that I need to, not so that the whole business community can call me to solicit my business. If I wanted to do business with a company, I would call that company. I view telephone socititation as an invasion of privacy lasting 12 hours each day. Companies have NO business calling people at their home. Business are given (and freely use) very broad tactics for advertising, why would you allow them to further push (in a choking manner) their products or services on people who have clearly stated that they do not wish to be bothered, esspecially in the privacy of their own home.
