Comments:

Before the current Do Not Call bill the FTC and FCC utterly FAILED to enforce the telemarketing laws already in existence. Proper identification, prompt removal from calling lists when requested, allowed calling hours, and restrictions on pre-recorded messages were completely ignored by a large percentage of telemarketers. To change the current status quo of the Do Not Call bill will assuredly result in a return to this unadulterated abuse by telemarketers and an all too familiar lack of enforcement. Do Not give an inch on the best legislation for peace and quiet in our time. Vote Status Quo on the Do Not Call bill. A copy of this letter will be forwarded to my Representative, Sam Johnson.
