I think a change to the rule would be an intrusion on my privacy. The reason I signed up for the DO NOT CALL list is to keep this trash from being inflicted on me. I pay for my phone service, both landline and cellular, and I DO NOT want to pay for advertising trash. It is an invasion of my privacy to answer the phone and have someone trying to sell me something I don't want. If I want to buy something I will go to the store. I also do not want to have my answering machine filled up with garbage. Do not change the rules and increase the punishment for violators.
