I oppose any change of the Do Not Call registry that would allow telemarketers the opportunity to leave recorded messages on my voice mail or answering machines. It was bad enough during the past election campaign to have to go through a couple political messages each day to get to actual and sometimes important messages. I have no faith that telemarketing firms will show restraint on their own. Since adding my home number to the registry when it first became available for my region, the number of telemarketing calls to my home has diminished significantly and I do not wish to go back to the past when the entire day was a symphony of phone calls from people I do not do business with and have no desire to do business with.
