RE: The proposed amendment of the Telemarketing Sales Rule to create an additional call abandonment safe harbor to allow telemarketing calls that deliver a prerecorded message to consumers with whom the seller on whose behalf the calls are made has an established business relationship. The Do Not Call program has worked extremely well and I request that the rules remain intact without an amendment to allow prerecorded messages to consumers. My phone no longer rings continually from unwanted telemarketing agencies and should the rules be amended then I fear that the purpose of the original Do Not Call program will be undermined significantly. I do not support or approve a change which permits telemarketers to replace live calls with prerecorded calls. Do Not Call should mean exactly that - Do Not Call. Thank you for the opportunity to provide my comments on this very important issue. Sincerely, R Pearson
