NHLBI's
PGA Symposium July 19-20, 2005
|
The
National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and its 5 Programs for
Genomic Applications invite you to attend the second Symposium
"From Genome to Disease". This state-of-the-art symposium
will provide an opportunity to explore the application of genomic
technologies to the study of human disease. To maximize the usefulness
of the Symposium for both the novice and the experienced investigator,
the program will couple plenary lectures by leaders in the area
of genomics and in-depth, small-group tutorials on the new technologies
and methodologies discussed in this Symposium.
Topics
include:
Comparative Genomics
SNP genotyping and
Sequencing
Haplotypes and Association Studies
Animal Models for the High Throughput
Study of Heart, Lung and Blood Disorders
From Desktop to Benchtop:
translating Computational Analysis into in vivo Experiments
Confirmed
Plenary Speakers:
- Betsy
Nabel, NHLBI
- Cecilia
Lo, NHLBI
- Howard
Jacob, MCW
- David

& Mouse Mutant Resources for Studying Human Heart, Lung,
Blood and Sleep Disorders
Abstracts:
Submission of abstracts for platform presentation and poster
sessions is actively encouraged. Submit your abstract
The symposium will also host a social gathering that will
provide an opportunity for informal discussions and the development
of new collaborative interactions.
No matter what your prior level of experience with high throughput
biology, we think you will find much in the symposium that
will be of interest and value to your own research efforts.
We look forward to seeing you in Bethesda in July 2005.
