Baker River Interagency Hotshot Crew

Welcome to the Baker River Hotshot website. The Baker River Interagency Hotshot Crew is a highly-trained wildland fire suppression crew that is hosted by the Region 6 Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington state.

The crew is comprised of a hard-working and diverse group of individuals who spend their summers battling forest fires throughout the country. As a Baker River Hotshot, crewmembers learn and practice critical fireline skills that rely upon communication, team-building, and high-reliability concepts. As a result, the organization provides an exciting and fulfilling job for those fit enough for the challenge.

The Baker River IHC has a proud history, built on camaraderie, strong work ethic, and mutual respect. While this website is meant as an introduction to the crew, we hope it also reflects this history and pride that continually attracts crewmembers to the job year after year. Enjoy the site.
