The Commission has approved the
staff’s proposed changes to the Public Radiation Safety significance
determination process (SDP). The staff
should ensure that the reason and bases for these changes are appropriately
captured for historical purposes in the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP)
technical basis. The NRC’s public web
page on groundwater tritium issues should be kept updated with a summary of
actions taken (and planned) to close out the associated task force
recommendations.
