[NIFL-WORKPLACE] looking for material for entry level ESL forrestaurant workersRonna Timpa ronna at workplaceesl.comWed Oct 27 10:55:35 EDT 2004
Hello Jackie. We just published a textbook last April called Workplace English and there is a customer service chapter dedicated to food service. We have been using it to teach kitchen workers and fast food employees. I'd be happy to send you some sample pages of the materials specifically for food service workers. My email is ronna at workplaceesl.com Also, if you want to get certified to be a workplace ESL instructor, check out our website below. The second seminar for existing teachers isn't on the website yet, but it is scheduled for Jan 20/21 2005 in Las Vegas. Feel free to call with questions: 702.873.3520 - either about the seminars or how we teach food service workers (low level) Best regards, Ronna Timpa Workplace ESL Solutions www.WorkplaceESL.com -----Original Message----- From: nifl-workplace-bounces at nifl.gov [mailto:nifl-workplace-bounces at nifl.gov] On Behalf Of Jackie McCabe Sent: Tuesday, October 26, 2004 4:19 PM To: Workplace Literacy Discussion List Subject: [NIFL-WORKPLACE] looking for material for entry level ESL forrestaurant workers I am putting together an ESL program for mostly beginner native Spanish speaking immigrants who work in a Mexican restaurant. We are looking to teach them how to treat customers/customer service skills as well as English. Do you have any textbook suggestions or website suggestions. All feedback will be much appreciated.
