>panel will engage in a dialogue about why integration is important; what 

>skills need to be integrated; the process for integrating technical, 

>employability, and academic skills; how to determine the effectiveness of 

>skill integration; and the policy and practice impact of integration.

>John Boggess earned his doctorate from Ohio University and is the 

>recipient of the American Association of School Administrators Leadership 

>in Learning Award. He serves on the Advisory Board for the Superintendent 

>of the Ohio Department of Education. Under his leadership, Miami Valley 

>Career Technology Center has received state and national awards for 

>quality programming.

>

>Steve Franks earned his doctorate in Occupational and Adult Education from 

>the Oklahoma State University. Previously, he served for eight years as 

>State Director of Vocational Education in Alabama. He has served as a 

>technical college Dean of Instruction, a faculty member at Auburn 

>University, and a training and personnel specialist in the construction 

>industry. He is a member of the Arkansas Workforce Investment Board, the 

>Arkansas Business and Education Alliance, and is vice-chair of the 

>Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.

>Myrtle Mitchell has twenty-six years as an educational administrator in 

>the Washington State Community and Technical College System, including 22 

>years as Executive Dean of Instruction for Workforce Education, Seattle 

>Central Community College. She also has twenty years experience in health 

>care and health care administration as a Registered Nurse and as Executive 

>Director of a community-based health care corporation. She is Vice 

>President for Communications of the National Council for Workforce 

>Education. She earned her Ph.D. in Urban Planning Policy Administration at 

>the University of Washington.
