What’s the difference between disability compensation and disability pension?
Disability Compensation is a monthly monetary benefit paid to veterans who are disabled as a result of an injury or disease incurred during military service or made worse by military service.
Disability Pension is an income-dependent monthly monetary benefit paid to veterans who are permanently 100 percent disabled for reasons unrelated to their military service and not the result of their own actions.
